Write a Script for TV, Film or Stage (14-17 years)
Have you ever wanted to write your own TV show, film script or play, but don’t know where to start? Whether you want to write purely for yourself or for a career on the big screen, this workshop will give you the tools to explore your ideas. Through group discussions and creative writing exercises led by tutor Belona Greenwood, you’ll come away with new friends and the opening of your own script.
Designed for young people aged 14 – 17 years. Places are limited to 15 participants – please book in advance to secure your seat. Choose to pay what you can afford during checkout – £7.50, £5, or £2.50.
Please note: Parents and guardians are not expected to stay for the workshop – Dragon Hall is located a short walk from the city centre and is surrounded by shops and coffee shops. If the attendee has needs which require additional support, please book an essential companion ticket.
About the workshop leader
Belona Greenwood is an author, scriptwriter and creative facilitator living in the East of England. She runs arts projects in schools and the community, and recently has published her book The Flying Shop of Imagination: Adventures in Creative Writing, produced in collaboration with artist Kate Munro.
Belona is a freelance scriptwriter and associate playwright at Concentric Circles Theatre Company as well as co-director of Script 6, a regional script development company. As founder and co-organiser of Words and Women she was twice runner up in Women in Publishing’s Pioneering Venture Award and received the Norfolk Arts Award for ‘Outstanding Contribution to the Arts.
